The Coca-Cola Company (NYSE:KO) has announced a voluntary recall of 22,000 sets of themed glasses painted to look like cans of its soft drinks.
The company said that low levels of cadmium have been detected in the paint on the outside of the glass designed to look like a can of Coca-Cola.
Coke said that the levels of the toxic metal do not pose a safety hazard or health threat.
The 16 oz. glasses were sold in stores and online since March.
Coca-Cola shares are trading down over .2% Monday.
Rival PepsiCo (NYSE:PEP) is trading flat, while Dr Pepper Snapple Group (NYSE:DPS) trades up over .3%.
