For $40-$45 you can create your one-of-a-kind blown glass ornament. Get creative and choose your own color, size and shape. Sunspots will be creating ornaments until Dec. 31 (what a perfect gift for next year). Your ornament will be ready the next day for pick up or delivery (needs to set overnight in the annealing oven).
The studio is open 7 days a week with free glass blowing demonstrations (until 4p.m.) every day. The ornament blowing times are Dec. 26-30, 1p.m.-5p.m. and Dec. 31st, 1-3p.m.
At the studio you'll also find an art gallery filled with copper, jewelry, handbags and of --hand-blown glass. Watch the artists demonstrate their skills as they dip the blow pipes into molten glass (from a 2,000 degree furnace) and use marvers (they sometimes use wet newspapers) to shape the glass into its form.
