REC Continue to Cut Capacity of Silicon Wafer

 (China Glass Network) Release from REC Group, the company will continue to cut capacity of silicon wafer due to weak market demand.


The company announced that it will cut approximately 50% of the production of Monocrystalline Wafer by Glomf jord, plant located in Norway in the first quarter of 2012, which will layoff about 65 workers.


REC has announced polycrystalline silicon production halts of another plant in November, 2011, 60% of the production has been stopped. REC Group predicted that total Silicon Wafer capacity will be 105MW in the first quarter of 2012.
