Trainor Glass Co. ceases operations

Local news outlets are reporting that Trainor Glass had several projects underway at the time of its closure, among them a $10 million contract for work on the Parkland Hospital in Dallas, according to a Feb. 22


Glass Magazine has learned that 


Company officials notified all employees by the morning of Feb. 21 that the company was shutting down, according to a now former employee. “They called everybody—we found out at about 10 a.m. yesterday [Feb. 21],” the employee said. “This came as a surprise as [the Modular Wall Division] was gaining momentum and selling a lot of jobs. … We knew the glass side was having some issues—some job bids had gone wrong and were going south. But, we were doing well.”


While the company has ceased operations, it has not filed for bankruptcy, according to the employee. 

The closure follows a move in March of last year, when Trainor
