Court Grants Glaziers Union Motion for TRO, Emergency Audit Against Trainor Glass

The Trustees of the Glaziers, Architectural Metal & Glass Workers Local Union No. 27 Welfare and Pension Funds filed a motion for temporary restraining order and emergency audit against Trainor Glass on March 5 in the U.S. District Court, Northern District of Illinois.

 

"Plaintiffs state that defendant abruptly and unexpectedly ceased operations on February 21, 2012, which has prevented plaintiffs from performing an audit as to the remaining 16 glazier employees," according to court documents. "Plaintiffs state that defendant has not paid fringe benefits or filed any monthly reports since December 2011, and state on information and belief that defendant has failed to pay the last two weeks of wages to its employees."

 

On March 14, the court conducted a hearing on the plaintiff's motion for TRO and emergency audit and granted it. The order will expire on March 28.

 

The Trustees of the Glaziers, Architectural Metal & Glass Workers Local Union No. 27 Welfare and Pension Funds allege that Trainor Glass owes them $2,931.72.
