Post Time:Mar 26,2012Classify:Industry NewsView:299

Three major trade associations representing the aluminum industry will host Aluminum Week October 15-18 at the Renaissance Chicago Downtown Hotel in Chicago.

The Aluminum Association (AA), Aluminum Extruders Council (AEC) and Aluminum Anodizers Council (AAC) have agreed to co-locate their meetings "to increase cooperation and communication among different sectors of the industry," according to a joint release issued by all three groups. The combined program will include the AA annual meeting, the AEC extrusion symposium, and the AAC international anodizing conference and exposition.

"Co-location with our partner organizations provides value back to our members," says Heidi B. Brock, president of AA. "Leaders can assess the state of the U.S. aluminum industry and determine how best to maximize association resources and cooperation to support industry growth."

"For the past two years, the Aluminum Association and Aluminum Extruders Council have worked together on Aluminum Week," says Rand A. Baldwin, president of AEC. "The addition of the Aluminum Anodizers Council to Aluminum Week is a great enhancement to the event for the industry."

"Bringing together the three most prominent trade associations covering the aluminum industry is an exciting development and opportunity for AAC members," says Gregory T. Rajsky, president of AAC. "Chicago offers the perfect venue for Aluminum Week."

Registration is scheduled to open this summer.
