Super Spacer® units with low emissivity glazing can achieve reductions of up to 94% in heat energy losses over the same window with the same glass incorporating standard aluminium spacer bar. Our market leading, thermally efficient spacer systems can help manufacturers, processors, installers and specifiers meet surging market demands for high performance, energy efficient glass units. This means lower fuel bills for occupants and less energy consumed which results in lower carbon emissions.CondensationSuper Spacer® is 1,500 times less conductive than aluminium, significantly reducing the thermal loss at the edge of the glass. This in turn reduces the condensation by up to 70% over normal double glazing. The simple laws of physics dictate that heat rushes to the coldest surface, so by removing the conductive aluminium spacer, we minimise the opportunity for potential problems.ProductivityWhatever the budget, whatever the production requirements, Super Spacer® has a machinery solution to suit all needs and budgets. This allows a two man team to produce up to 1200 units per eight hour shift, including glass wash, automated spacer application, gas filling and automated perimeter sealingPerformanceOutstanding DurabilitySuper Spacer® has excellent resistance to Nitrogen and Argon gas absorption. It has high UV resistance and can cope with a phenomenal range in temperature from -40 to +120oC. It has 100% memory and therefore allows for expansion and contraction which can be a major cause of stress fractures in conventional sealed units. In accelerated testing Super Spacer® has been shown to last over twice as long as other dual seal systems and up to nine times longer than single seal.Outstanding AestheticsMost PVC-U and timber windows now include low line glazing beads and gaskets. This creates problems as standard aluminium spacer bar often protrudes into the sightline of the window. Super Spacer® has a lower sightline equivalent to no more that 10.3mm from the edge of the glass, thus eradicating this problem. Super Spacer also takes on the appearance of the colour of the profile into which it is glazed. i.e. if glazed into a white profile, the spacer reflects back white. This eliminates the need to stock a wide range of different colours simplifying ordering and minimising expensive stock requirements.Outstanding Structural IntegritySuper Spacer® has outstanding structural integrity that includes 100% memory. This allows it to cope easily with different rates of expansion of the glass and frame material at varying temperatures. It does not set under compression, so performs superbly in pressure glazing situations and will always look to return to its original shape and dimension.Outstanding Dynamic PerformanceIn a structural loading performance test, Super Spacer® TriSeal™ Premium Plus outperformed even the test facility’s performance capabilities. Under positive (windward) pressure our unit reached 5,750 Pascal - equivalent to wind at 350km/h. This was the limit of the test equipment but it was able to go further using negative (suck out) pressure to 7,425 Pascal - equivalent to wind at 395 km/h.Outstanding Structural PerformanceA structural test was carried out involving a huge unit comprising 2 x 6mm float panes 6.3m by 3.3m weighing 312kg. Super Spacer® TriSeal™ Premium Plus was applied with just the acrylic structural adhesive seal and no secondary sealant.
