Innovative, automated, interconnected

The Grenzebach Group will be presenting its complete portfolio at the 2013 Hanover fair. Topics like innovative technology, continuous automation, efficient cross linking of all components all represent parts of the lead topic “Integrated Industry”.

The specialists for intelligent handling, process, and automation technologies will present their complete portfolio in the areas of glass, building material, and general industries. In the words of Martin Sträb, CMO of the Grenzebach Group, “the fair is an ideal platform to present the company’s innovative technologies to an international audience”. In presenting the concept of “Integrated Industry” the main focus is to show how Grenzebach systems are able to master complex tasks efficiently, safely and in a resource-friendly.

Grenzebach celebrates a premiere with new products

Grenzebach will for the first time at the 2013 Hanover fair present several new and innovative developments to the public. The highlight of the exhibition is the world’s first robot-based flight simulator “FlightSim”. The FlightSim combines a Diamond DA 40/42 aircraft cockpit with a KUKA industrial robot allowing motion sequences which are clearly superior to the conventional Hexapod systems. A 115 m² HD projection screen with up to 10 cm/pixel resolution ensures the high-quality visualization of the various training situations. For daily use the new Grenzebach FlightSim is very convincing with a number of advantages of standard Hexapod systems. For example, maintenance time per day averages less than 15 minutes. Also, energy savings will be up to 4,500L of fuel per trainee of the course of standard training curriculum.

Another exhibit that is equally innovative is Friction Stir Welding. Grenzebach specialists will present the robotic solution for “FSW” Friction Stir Welding. Grenzebach’s application of robotics to the FSW technology was given the NoAE Award. This solution can be used in various areas such as automotive, maritime, refrigeration, aviation, and military. Most applications in which the welding of metals or alloys and metal/non-metal compounds exist can be solved with FSW. Compared to the conventional welding processes the Grenzebach solution convinces with higher efficiency, greater flexibility, and significantly reduced costs.

In the automation technology sector Grenzebach presents two solutions to make logistics processes more efficient. First is the Grenzebach palletizing solution using a 2-axis single gripper is new. This highly flexible gripper system allows the handling of a wide range of different products and product sizes. With appropriate prepicking, even palletizing of product lines is possible. The palletizing solution can be controlled directly through the robot axis, doesn’t need cable chains, and is suitable for refrigeration areas.

The Grenzebach palletizing solution is complemented by a pallet transport solution with the compact FTS Carry Professional. Thanks to its low overall height the FTS Carry Professional can move under the pallet truck allowing the pallet to be transported with line style tracks or freely (trackless) to the target destination. Weights of up to 1,000 kg are no problem. The all power and data are transferred via induction lines in the facility flooring.

A home for the Hanover fair

The reference of Grenzebach technologies to the guiding theme “Integrated Industry” will become visible at the booth in the truest sense of the word. In the model of the “energy-intelligent house” the fair visitors can see which products are manufactured with Grenzebach technologies. The spectrum ranges from the photovoltaic modules on the roof to windows, glass facades to gypsum, and cement fiber boards to the veneers used for furniture. All of these represent Grenzebach solutions. Even TV and cell phones displays are products of the manufacturing technology developed and produced by Grenzebach.

In addition to the presentation of the product portfolio, the topic of “Service” is another focal point at Grenzebach. In the Service Group hard work and dedication has allowed them to achieve an excellent reputation and respect for taking care of Grenzebach’s customers over the decades. With its R&D and manufacturing locations in Europe, China, and the USA as well as sales and service branch offices in Brazil, India, Indonesia, Italy, Russia, Taiwan, and the USA, Grenzebach is in close proximity to our worldwide network of customers. At all locations energetic and highly qualified experts ensure the highest quality demonstrated through the efficient operation of the Grenzebach equipment installed all over the world. For Martin Sträb, Grenzebach is, through a combination of innovative technology, highly qualified experts, and superior customer service, “the world’s leading specialists for intelligent handling, processing and automation technologies well equipped for the future”.

All visitors are invited to come and see for themselves at the booth of the Grenzebach Group in hall 17, booth F18.
