Clayton's a Planitherm millionaire

Leading sealed unit manufacturer Clayton Glass has a million reasons to celebrate after clocking up 1,000,000 square metres of units made with Planitherm Glass from Saint-Gobain.

“That’s an entire square kilometer – or enough to cover the Olympic Stadium 12 times over,” said Commercial Director Jason McCabe.

“It’s a great achievement and we’re all very proud of it.  We have never looked back since making Planitherm Total + our standard low E glass and I am in no doubt that the decision has been a big part of our success.

Planitherm’s performance, aesthetics and processability knocks the socks of anything else on the market and gives us – and our customers – a real USP”.

Serving a UK-wide customer base from its two County Durham factories, Clayton Glass remains committed to helping end-users save on fuel bills and carbon emissions.  As well as fulfilling a fast-growing demand for its SMARTGLASS™ conservatory roof units, the company is also continuing to develop its energiMAX™  range for advanced thermal efficiency and is soon to launch energiMAX™ TRIPLE with the potential to achieve a 0.6 U-value.

Jason concluded: “We’re now on our way to our second million square metres and if demand continues to grow, that may happen a lot quicker than our first.”
