Price of float glass in major cities continues to rise in August

According to the latest statistics, the price of float glass in the major cities continues to bound up. In the early August, the average price of 5mm float glass was 28.76 yuan/m², increasing by 0.18 yuan/m² or 0.63% over the figure in last month, and by 2.21 yuan/m² or 8.32% year-on-year.

Price increased in the following cities: the price of 5mm float glass in Wuhan of Hubei increased from 23 yuan/m² in last month to 29 yuan/m², up 26.09%, much higher than the average increase. Besides, there is an increase of 0.2-3 yuan/m² in about 25% of cities.

In 12% of cities, the price fell: price of 5mm float glass in Shenzhen, Guangdong dropped from 46 yuan/m² in the previous month to 40 yuan/m² now, down 13.04%; the lowest price was 19.5 yuan/m² in Taiyuan, Shanxi, 9.26 yuan/m² lower than the average price.
