Emirates Glass expands

Emirates Glass, a processor of architectural flat glass, has announced the start of construction of its Dh175 million plant and headquarters at the Dubai Investments Park. The premises will also house Lumiglass Industries, according to a company statement.

Due to the current construction boom in the Gulf region, Emirates Glass plans to expand its presence in both regional and global markets.

Ziad Yazbeck, General Manager of Emirates Glass and Lumiglass, said of the investment: “Expansion of our operations in the last few years and the EGL’s acquisition of a new coating plant have necessitated an upgrade of our facilities.”

The company reported a 106% increase in net profits last year and its overall output increased by 30% over the same period.
