Grey Mountain Partners acquires Custom Components Co.

Grey Mountain Partnershas acquired Custom Components Co., marking its third glass industry acquisition in less than a week. On Jan. 6, theBoulder, Colo., private equity firm, announced it had acquired Binswanger Enterprises, LLC, the Memphis, Tenn., designer, installer and retailer of architectural glass and aluminum products. Two days prior, Grey Mountain announced it had purchased Global Security Glazing, the Selma, Ala.,manufacturer of institutional security, military, and custom architectural glass and glazing products.

Headquartered in Tampa, Fla., Custom Components is a niche building materials manufacturer, fabricator and supplier of aluminum, stainless steel and glass architectural engineered products including interior and exterior railing systems, interior aluminum office fronts, and stile and rail doors.

"Custom Components’ niche product line, value-added services, technical leadership, and strong management team are a critical part of our go-to-market and acquisition strategy in the glass sector,” said Beth Lesniak, vice president, Grey Mountain, in a Jan. 10 release.“The combination of Global Security Glazing and Custom Components Co. will enhance our security- and commercial-focused products and open up new end markets and geographies,” she said.

“We are excited about this investment and the opportunity to cross-sell and grow Custom Components’ product offerings and services.”
