Aremco-Seal 617, a new high temperature glass sealant developed by Aremco Products, Inc., is now used to bond ceramics and produce hermetic seals in porous ceramics and refractories for applications to 1150 °F (620°C).
Features
Aremco-Seal 613 is a single part, gray-pigmented, water-based, glass coating used to bond ceramics and seal porosity in ceramics and refractories used to 1150 °F (620 °C) in electrical and high vacuum applications where hermeticity is required.
Aremco-Seal 613 is easily applied by dipping, brushing, or spraying and cleans up prior to curing with warm water. Curing is accomplished by setting at room temperature for 30-60 minutes then heating to 1150 °F for an additional 30 minutes.
Aremco-Seal 613 is odorless and contains no volatile organic compounds that may affect the environment. No outgassing will occur upon curing or during operation.
Aremco-Seal 613 is available from stock in standard pint, quart, gallon and five-gallon containers.
