Edgetech I.G. names R&D technical specialist

Edgetech I.G.promoted Ken Wayman to R&D technical specialist at its Cambridge, Ohio, headquarters, according to a March 2 release. Wayman has been employed by Edgetech since 2000, and most recently served the company as a technical service representative.

“Ken has proven himself as a valuable and knowledgeable member of the Edgetech team over the past 10 years,” said Tracy Rogers, technical director, Edgetech I.G., in the release.“In his new role, Ken will support all R&D and testing efforts toward the continued advancement of Edgetech products and services.He will be an important asset as we continue to develop our technical resources and capabilities.”

As technical service representative, Wayman gained experience with Edgetech’s products, applications and customers, providing on-site quality audits, installation of automated and semiautomated equipment and training to IG manufacturers. As he develops into his new role in R&D, Wayman’s primary responsibilities will include performance testing and evaluation of materials, products, components and insulating glass units, as well as materials research, testing, analysis and evaluation in support of Edgetech’s new product development efforts.

“Edgetech is a great place to work and grow with some of the most knowledgeable and experienced people in the industry,” Wayman said in the release. “I look forward to using my field experience and product knowledge to help Edgetech continue to provide the highest quality products to our customers.”

Wayman lives in Port Washington, Ohio.
