International Aluminum Corp., Monterey Park,Calif., United States Aluminum's parent company, has received confirmation on its Plan of Reorganization, according to a June 1 release. Pursuant to the company's Plan of Reorganization, International Aluminum Corp. will now be called International Architectural Group, LLC. The company's brands--United States Aluminum, RACO Interior Products, International Window and International Extrusion--will retain their names and continue to provide the same products and service as before.During the restructuring process, United States Aluminum has refocused and retooled, getting leaner and more competitive to adapt to a marketplace that has endured historic volatility over the last several years, the release states."As we emerge from this process, we are engaging the industry with a renewed focus and reinvigorated determination to provide the market with a complete line of well designed fenestration products on a competitive basis," said Jim Cenname, executive vice president, United States Aluminum, in the release. "Today, we are looking forward, developing great new products and adjusting our business plan to make United States Aluminum the most competitive architectural aluminum supplier in the industry."United States Aluminum introduced several new products to the market that have been developed since the start of the year, including the 3252 Curtain Wall, a dual thermally improved update to the venerable 3250 system; the 3253 Triple Glaze Curtain Wall, offering an ultra-efficient U-value; the IT600 Storefront, a thermally improved hurricane-resistant storefront system; and the BT601 Storefront, a thermally improved storefront built to DoD and Dade County specifications for use in blast mitigation and hurricane resistant conditions. The company is hard at work on expanding its line of window products with the addition of a single hung, a fixed and a sliding window, according to the release.
