SOLARWATT AG will be presenting an elegant solution in building-integrated photovoltaic systems at glasstec 2008 in Düsseldorf.
(pressebox) Dresden, 15.10.2008 - In collaboration with Tyco Electronics, SOLARWATT has developed a side-mounted connection socket for glass-glass modules, the so-called Edge Connector. This type of connection technology, which is also suited to insulating glass structures, means that socket and cable are invisibly integrated into the frame structure of building surfaces. The Edge Connector is suitable for 6 inch cells and designed to be compliant with IEC 61730.
Trade show visitors to the SOLARWATT stand can also gather information about an interesting, current façade project. Planning work for the south façade of the Arburg company's customer centre was adapted to the requirements of the surface covering photovoltaics system. The opaque glass-glass modules (where the back pane absorbs the full static) will also be presented at a special show entitled "Glass technology live".
