Glass Mechanix announces new president, headquarters and training facilities

Glass Mechanix, a comprehensive glass repair equipment, supply and services company, has relocated its headquarters to Bend, Ore., and named Mike Boyle president and partner, according to a Sept. 2 release.The former president of GlasWeld also serves as president of the newly formed Global Glass Conservation Alliance, Washington, D.C.

The Oregon office,located at 63076 18th St., houses the company’s sales, research and development, and technical divisions. Glass Mechanix will also open a state-of-the-art training center in Las Vegas later this year. The 4,500-square-foot facility will feature dedicated classroom and hands-on workshop spaces for all kinds of glass restoration. Initially, the Las Vegas center will offer training and certification of Glass Mechanix technicians only. Before the end of the year, however, the company will launch specialized classes for every major brand of windshield repair equipment. The company is also in negotiations with glass suppliers to make the facility available for windshield replacement training in the long-term, the release states.
