Biesse launches Diamut America and Diamut Canada

Biesse SpA today officially launched itsDiamut North American operations in the United States and Canada, according to a July 8 release. Diamut is a producer of high-tech diamond tooling used in the working of stone and glass, as well as in the construction trades.

Diamut has specialized in the production of diamond tools for more than 20 years and was strategically acquired by Biesse in 2002. Since then, Diamut’s ongoing investment in R&D has continually created new and innovative performance tools such as the new HyS (high-speed) Stone Tooling Line.

Diamut tools are available immediately from the company’s distributors and from its base in Charlotte, N.C. The company’s warehouse in North Carolina has the capability to ship product overnight to any destination in North America, keeping with the philosophy of lean processing principals (Kaizen).

“In the past, Diamut was known mostly as a supplier to the CNC market, but our product line has exploded as the company has invested in new technologies and products,” said Patrick Buskill, brand sales manager, Diamut America and Diamut Canada, in the release. “The North American customer now has an immediate, direct source for all things Diamut. We are opening new markets with highly efficient products such as the Diamut line of discs for construction and diamond wire for the stone trade.”

Diamut’s core competencies are:• Sintered diamond tools for edging stone and glass;• Polish technologies for stone and glass;• Core drills for stone, glass and concrete;• Wet and dry blades for all industries; and• Diamond wire for quarry operations and slab preparation.

“With this new business division and the additional investment in North America we hope our commitment to our customers is clear,” said Federico Broccoli, President and CEO, Biesse and Intermac North America, in the release. “We see excellent opportunities for expansion, and our investments in the U.S. and Canada markets are continuing at high speed. For example, in addition to the Diamut investment, we have also just completed a brand new Canadian headquarters in Montreal (Mirabel, QC), and want our customers to know that we are backing up our words with action.”
