Land allotment for the ambitious Rs 1,000 crore Saint-Gobain greenfield float glass making plant slated to come up in Bhiwadi [India]has been completed. If the state industries department is to be believed the project will take off in three months' time. However, head finance T Bhaskaran, Saint-Gobain India, refused to specify a date for the beginning of the plant and said, "We have just been allotted the land. It is too early to be specific about the date of beginning the actual ground work," according to a May 29 article in TheTimes of India
