Post Time:Nov 12,2013Classify:Industry NewsView:81

The Glazing Industry Code Committee has scheduled a new Webinar focusing on energy codes and their effect on the industry, according to a Feb. 11 release. The Webinar, which will feature in-depth information and analysis from Dr. Tom Culp of Birch Point Consulting, offers the industry an insight into the potential future benefits and pitfalls from action in today’s code arena.

“This Webinar is a must for glazing contractors in the industry,” said Bill Yanek, executive director, GICC, in the release. “Energy codes aren’t on the radar of many glazing contractors today, and what they don’t know will definitely hit their bottom line if they aren’t prepared for the dramatic changes coming down the pipe.”

Culp will look at the status of today’s residential and commercial energy codes, as well as map out future directions of the International Code Council (ICC), ASHRAE 90.1 and more. The Webinar is scheduled for 2 p.m. EST, March 12, and will last approximately one hour.Culp's presentation will be followed bya question-and-answer session .

Cost to join the Webinar is $119.95 per connection.Call Sara Neiswanger at 785/271-0208 or write her at sara@glazingcodes.org.
