New national call center for Activar Group

Officials at the Activar Construction Products Group, Minneapolis, announced that effective Dec. 15, all customer service team members for JL Industries, Bloomington, Minn., Samson Products, City of Commerce, Calif., Air Louvers, City of Commerce, and Hiawatha, Bloomington, will be located in a consolidated, nationwide call center in Minnesota, according to a Dec. 3 ACPG release. Customer service for Thomas Enterprises, Fort Myers, Fla.,is unaffected by this change. All team members will be knowledgeable in all of the ACPG products.

“With this change, we will be able to offer our customers increased call capacity, extended hours of operation – from 7:00 am – 7:00 pm CST, plus the added benefit that customers can order from any of the 4 companies’ product lines in a single call," said Kirby Bayerle, president, ACPG, in the release. "This is part of a company-wide plan to maximize the use of all of our facilities and includes expanded inventory in select locations as well as increased manufacturing capabilities in Minnesota.”

Customers may continue to use the 800 and/or fax numbers that they currently utilize for Air Louvers, Samson, JL or Hiawatha to contact customer service. All shipping locations remain the same. ACPG has manufacturing facilities in California, Florida and Minnesota, and warehouses in Pennsylvania, Georgia and Texas. The companies in the group manufacture and distribute products including fire protection equipment, life safety products, door vision lites and louvers, door hardware, access panels, roof hatches, security products, smoke vents and equipment hatches.
