Leading glass and frame repair and replacement company Solaglas Windowcare has scooped the top award in the 2008 Rotherham Business Awards, held on Friday evening (October 24).
The company was named Business of the Year by the judging panel, who highlighting major investments in training, technology and a commitment to excellence.
In a successful evening attended by 500 people from a range of businesses in the area, the company also gained two further awards – Investing in Skills and Excellence in Business and was runner-up in both the Customer Services and Innovation in Business categories. The chamber received some 75 entries to the nine nominated categories.
Ian Davy, managing director at Solaglas Windowcare said: “We have made great strides over the past six years, had sustained year-on-year growth and attracted major clients, so we are particularly pleased to walk away with these awards, especially against such tough competition.
“This success has been underpinned by a commitment to providing our clients and their customers with an unrivalled level of service, delivered from the initial instruction right through to the service delivered on the ground.
Part of the Saint-Gobain Group, Solaglas Windowcare employs some 400 people nationwide and provides nationwide 24-hour emergency repair and replacement service for glazing, windows and doors.
The Rotherham Business Awards is organised by the Rotherham and Barnsley and Rotherham Chamber of Commerce. The winners were announced at a glittering black-tie event held at MAGNA near Rotherham.
