Company to honor plane crash victims

APG International, Glassboro, N.J., will be closed Aug. 5 to honor the memories of Marc Rosenberg and Alan Barnett who died in a plane crash July 31, according to an Aug. 4 company release.

Rosenberg, 52, chief operating officer, and Barnett, 42, assistant project manager, will be memorialized in separate ceremonies on Tuesday. They were among the eight killed when a chartered plane they were flying in from Atlantic City to Owatonna, Minn., went down near the runway of a municipal airport in Minnesota.

In a statement on Monday, Edward Z. Zaucha, CEO, APG International called for everyone to pray for the eight who were killed in the crash. He described last week’s deaths as “tragic for everyone.”

According to his obituary, Barnett leaves behind his wife, Nancy, and three children, ranging in age from5 to8 years.A service for family and friends will be held at 3 p.m. Tuesday at Roth-Goldstein Memorial Chapel in Atlantic City.The family asks that instead of flowers, donations should be made to the Barnett Children’s Educational Fund, c/o APG International, P.O. Box 775, Glassboro, NJ 08028.

A service for family and friends only will be held for Rosenberg at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Congregation Beth Israel, Northfield, N.J.He is survived by his wife, Patti and two children. His family also asks that contributions be made to a charity, the New Jersey Council for the Humanities, 28 West State Street, 6th Floor, Trenton, NJ 08608 and Congregation Beth Israel.
