Post Time:Nov 12,2013Classify:Industry NewsView:101

A 36-year-old carpenter from Curtice, Ohio, died April 19 at the site of the Veteran’s Glass City Skyway bridge project in Toledo after the platform he was working on collapsed, according to an April 20 article from the Toledo Blade. The death of Andrew Burris, a member of Carpenters’ Local 1138 in Rossford, Ohio, is the fifth fatality on the bridge project, according to the article. Burris’ fatal fall serves as a reminder of worksite safety, particularly when using scaffolding and other platforms.
