Arkema Partners with Chinese Glass Manufacturer Kibing Glass Co. in production of next generation CVD Low E flat glass

Arkema, a world leader in glass coatings for the flat glass industry, announces that it is to partner an expansion of a new online CVD (Chemical Vapor Deposition) project for Kibing’s glass floatline located at an ocean port in Dongshan Island, Fujian Province of China.  This floatline will use the next generation, online pyrolytic CVD process, jointly developed by Arkema and its engineering partner Stewart Engineers.

This new, online CVD coating system can deposit a full range of Arkema’s hard coated Certincoat® coatings including Low E, Sunlite, and Sun E products.  “Kibing Glass Co. will be in a position to help fulfill the growing demand of the Chinese market, especially for the southern part of China,” said David Dai, global CVD manager for Arkema.  “We look forward to working with Kbing on this exciting project,” he continued.
