Export rebates for glassware increased by CNY 170 million in Shanxi

Shanxi Finance Bureau has announced that from December 1, 2008, the export rebate rate for glassware will be raised from 5% to 11%, which increases the export rebates for glassware by CNY 170 million in Shanxi. The decision is approved by the Ministry of Finance and State Administration of Taxation.

The glassware industry is a traditional industry of Shanxi. However, since the latter half of 2007, the glassware industry has been facing with woes, especially in recent period, more than 40% of glassware makers have stopped or reduced production. The main production bases of glassware, Qixian and Wenxi of Shanxi, are greatly impacted.

After efforts, CNY 170 million has been raised for Shanxi glassware makers to ease their difficulties.
