The Northwest soda ash market woes continues

In Northwest China, soda ash companies sort out stocks to lessen the pressures on the companies. Currently, soda ash devices in Hanzhong, Shaanxi remain closed; there is few sources left. In Qinghai, less than 50% of soda ash companies are under operation. The prevailing EXW price of light alkali is about 700-800 yuan/ton, and price of heavy alkali is 900-1,000 yuan/ton. Products are sold all around China at a low price. In Xinjiang, nearly 60% of soda ash companies are under operation; impacted by Qinghai soda ash market, the EXW price of light alkali falls to 1,000 yuan/ton.
