O-I buys bottle plant from Bennu Glass LLC

Owens-Illinois Inc. has purchased a bottle plant in Kalama, Wash. The plant, formerly owned by Bennu Glass LLC, employs about 90 people. It makes wine bottles and 22-ounce beer bottles.  

“The acquisition enhances O-I’s capabilities in the growing wine market on the West Coast and the important craft beer market,” Owens-Illinois spokesman Ryan McCarthy said in a written statement.
