He added that Tittot is scheduled to kick off the second stage of its construction plan to build an R&D center and art workshops in 2009 near the lost-wax casting plant as long as the plant runs at a capacity utilization rate of over 85%. Hopefully, the whole manufacturing base, occupying an area of 4.3 hectares totally in Shanghai`s Jiading Industrial Park, will drive up Tittot`s production value to NT$2.3 billion a year.
According to Tittot, some 100 glass kilns are installed in the lost-wax casting plant, helping the plant to cut delivery time by one third to achieve better production efficiency. Besides, with the plant operational, Tittot expects to improve its yield rate to 75% from current 65%.
