Pingxiang's largest glass manufacturer moves to suburb

On January 1, 2009, as the last glass got off the line, Anyuan Glass Co., Ltd, the largest manufacturer in Pingxiang City, Jiangxi Province, halted its second float glass production line and moved it to the suburb of Pingxiang.

The second float glass production line, honored as the "Project Hope" of Pingxiang Mineral, was put into production in 2002 with an annual production capacity of molten glass at 5,000,000 tons. For seven years, the plant has created a total output value at 1.7 billion yuan and profit and tax at 480 million yuan, which makes a great contribution for the transition of Pingxiang Mineral. It is one of the most successful transition projects in China's coal system.

In order to improve the environment of downtown of Pingxiang City, the shareholder of the second float glass production line, Jiangxi Coal Group Corp. and Anyuan Industrial Co., Ltd. fulfilled their social responsibilities and decided to relocate the production line.

The new glass plant is planned to conclude two production lines, which increases production capacity, creates a complete industry chain and improves the following-up competitiveness.
