Diamon-Fusion International, Inc. (DFI Nanotechnology), global developer and exclusive licensor of patented hydrophobic nanotechnologies, announced today that its strategic partner AKTARUS Group SRL, will be operating as DFI’s European Distribution Center for its NanoPax™ product beginning in January 2009. This move makes Milan, DFI’s key EU distribution center, focused on considerable growth in this rapidly expanding region.

Aktarus Group, based in Milan (IT), an innovative nanotech group with a far-reaching sales network throughout Europe and fully dedicated to nanotechnology distribution of the most innovative nano coatings for the Construction, Automotive, Marine and Industrial markets, has rapidly grown into one of DFI’s Key Strategic Partners in Europe.

AKTARUS along with the Diamon-Fusion® NanoPax™ product, DFI’s proprietary nano-coating in pre-moistened dual-pack towelettes, were recently featured (Sept 29- 2008, front page Science section) in the “La Repubblica” newspaper and has been significantly expanding its markets throughout Europe, including France, Switzerland, Spain and Germany and other key markets.

“We are extremely pleased with the European market reaction to DFI’s product line of nano-coatings; in addition to some significant orders in diverse EU markets, we have successfully supplied to transportation markets here in Italy”, said Maurizio Tricarico, Sales Manager of AKTARUS.

Guillermo Seta, Executive Director of DFI Global Operations, explained, “Milan offers a key central location for our EU distribution and AKTARUS provides two core capabilities: dynamic distribution and supply chain reliability”.

DFI Nanotechnology multi-functional characteristics include: water and oil repellency (hydrophobic and oleophobic,), impact and scratch resistance, protection against graffiti, dirt and stains, finger print protection, UV stability, additional electrical insulation, protection against calcium and sodium deposits and increased brilliance and lubricity. DFI’s nanocoating works at nanoscale levels to change the molecular composition of any silica-based surface. Diamon-Fusion® provides, in chemical terms, a ‘cross-linked’, ‘branched’ and ‘capped’ optically clear nano-film along with a strong and durable covalent bond.
