Auto Glass Replacement Safety Standards Council (AGRSS) chairperson Cindy Ketcherside will provide a presentation about auto glass and a windshield's structural importance during during the Governor's Traffic Safety Advisory Council Safety Event in Phoenix Wednesday, January 14.
From 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., Ketcherside and others will have booths set up for attendees to view. Others on-hand will be safety organizations such as Red Light Running, Safety Belts and Mothers Against Drunk Driving.
Following the tabletop presentations, several speakers will address automotive safety during a luncheon, and, after lunch, several demonstrations, including one by Ketcherside, will be provided. She will be deploying a set of airbags to demonstrate how the windshield is a part of the structural integrity of the vehicle.
"I will also be speaking for five minutes before the demonstration to explain what they will be seeing and the importance of a windshield in the overall structure of a vehicle," Ketcherside says.
The event draws representatives of the Arizona legislature and media outlets, both radio and television, as well as consumers.
