For the purpose of enhancing efficiencies in our operation and provide better service to our customers, Vitro America integrated three existing Los Angeles area operations into one large facility measuring more than 125,000 square feet.
The size of this new operations center, located 15 miles east of the city, allows us to include various services and offer solutions under one roof.
“We are simply trying to streamline our operations and eliminate the unnecessary handling of our products and the delays created by these transfers. We look forward to continue to service the same areas but in a much more efficient way”, confirms Alice Dickerson, Sales & Marketing Director for Vitro America.
Simultaneously, the Company has taken advantage of the opportunity to upgrade and add additional equipment that will increase our installed capacity.
For example, a Glass Robots, Super Convection furnace has been installed to provide superior quality HeatPro™ heat-treated glass up to 100” x 180”, with full soft coat capability.
In addition, Vitro America has installed a Lisec insulating line with integrated edge deletion to assure proper sealant adhesion. Warm Edge Technology spacers and the option of grey or black silicone sealant are now available.
“We are highly motivated with this step forward that puts us in a much better position to supply products of superior quality combined with a significantly enhanced turn around time to meet the needs of our customers”, she concludes.
