Post Time:Feb 20,2009Classify:Industry NewsView:386

The entire glass industry underwent a hard time in the next half year of 2008. From January to December, the output of glass was 574 million weight cases, up 5.06%, but the output of glass in December dropped dramatically by 18% over the same period of 2007. In the fourth quarter of 2008, glass sales slowed, which increases the stocks. At present, about 100million weight cases of capacity are still off production.

Jinjing Group, a leading glass company in China, announced a 20% of decrease y-o-y in its 2008 performance. Small glass company losses more profits for their weak risk resistance capacity.

Although the real estate industry, a upstream industry of glass, is running under the production capacity, insiders of glass industry believe that the hardest time of flat glass industry has gone and the industry will welcome a short-term recovery. It will affect the second-line glass companies that engage in flat glass more.
