Is a beautiful fragrance just a beautiful fragrance, a caring cream just a caring cream – or are they both perhaps much more? Anyone who looks around the display cases of the Gerresheimer Group will receive clear answers. At Luxe Pack 2009 in the Chinese metropolis of Shanghai – often called the “Paris of the East” – Gerresheimer is exhibiting from March 17 to 18 the latest gems in its glass collection: this magical gallery of its flacons and pots represents big names in the international perfumery and cosmetics world and will without doubt stir up strong feelings of desirability never before explored.

Gerresheimer, itself at home in China for a long time, enjoys a reputation around the globe as one of the most experienced and versatile partners for glass packaging design. The Group, which is otherwise primarily oriented towards the pharma and life-science market, serves both the prestige segment and the mass market with beauty and protection for all relevant cosmetic products. The range  includes flacons, pots and vials for perfumes, skin care or colour cosmetics. For this, Gerresheimer as a glass specialist has a unique repertory of shaping, coloring and finishing techniques at its disposal. “Individual market get-ups are required: this is precisely what brings exciting variety to the market,” says Burkhard Lingenberg, Director of Marketing and Communication for the Gerresheimer Group.

The exhibition in Shanghai confirms this. Whether texturing, reliefs or acid etching – whether feeder coloring, color spraying, filigree printing or the sublimation technique: the presentation is full of impetus and ideas for ever new surprises in cosmetics design for the future.
