SEMICON China 2009 is taking place in the Pudong district of Shanghai from March 17-19, with more than 800 exhibitors including more than 250 participants from across the photovoltaic (PV) manufacturing supply chain, according to SEMI. The SOLARCON China 2009 is also presented for the first time during the trade show.

At SOLARCON China 2009, the latest technologies and future developments in the field of PV will be discussed and exchanged.

To address deepening global economic concerns, the China government recently announced an investment of up to US$50 billion in domestic semiconductor-related projects, which are aimed to help boost growth in the region's semiconductor, FPD and solar sectors throughout 2020, according to SEMI.
