CRL´S New Dry Glazed Laminated Glass Railing System

C.R. Laurence Co. Inc., a leading supplier to the Architectural Railing industry is proud to announce the release of our next generation of Dry Glazed products and components for Laminated (GRS) Glass Railings and Windscreen systems.

This new addition allows CRL to offer you a full product line for laminated and monolithic tempered glass applications. Our new Dry Glazed TaperLoc system supports the following glass specifications.

3/8” (10mm) Monolithic Tempered Glass

• Meets ASTM, BSI, and DIN Tolerance Standards

1/2” (12mm) Monolithic Tempered Glass

• Meets ASTM, BSI, and DIN Tolerance Standards

9/16” (13.52mm) Laminated Tempered Glass (1/4” X .060 X 1/4”)

• Thickness Range 0.497” (12.62mm) to 0.549” (13.94mm)

(15mm) Monolithic Tempered Glass

• Thickness Range 14.5mm (0.570”) to 15.5mm (0.610”)
• No ASTM, BSI, or DIN equivalent thickness is available

3/4” (19mm) Monolithic Tempered Glass

• Meets ASTM, BSI, and DIN Tolerance Standards

21.52mm (27/32”) Laminated Tempered Glass (10mm X 1.52 X 10mm)

• Thickness Range 20.40mm (0.803”) to 22.94mm (0.903”)
• Will work with ASTM 7/8” Monolithic Tempered Glass
• Will not accommodate the full ASTM thickness range for 27/32” glass

25.52mm (1-1/16”) Laminated Tempered Glass (12mm X 1.52 X 12mm)

• Thickness Range 24.40mm (0.960”) to 26.92mm (1.060”)
• Will work with ASTM 1” Monolithic Tempered Glass
• Will NOT accommodate the full ASTM thickness range for 1-1/16” glass

This system has been designed, tested and engineered by CRL to meet and exceed the strictest building code requirements. The use of laminated glass provides additional safety features for glass railings. Laminated glass consists of two lites of glass including a laminate inner layer. In some cases, one of two lites can break leaving the second glass panel intact. Laminated glass will also prevent broken glass from falling to lower levels.

CRL’s patented horizontal taper lock design allows installation and removal of glass panels within minutes and can be mounted to any structural substrate. This new system will reduce your installation time by more than 50 percent. Designed for both residential and commercial applications.
