Sound Port is the new research for the pharmaceutical group Ferring. Located on the urban fringe of Copenhagen in Kastrup, the site occupies a pivotal waterfront position alongside the Øresund crossing between Copenhagen and Malmö, and is next to Copenhagen International Airport.

In total, the new headquarters of 24,000 square meters contains offices and laboratories The heart of the building is the large central atrium on the seaward side - the café below the self-supporting roof and panoramic views across the Sound to Malmö.

Excellent visibility and lighting is provided by this glass building where the atrium is surrounded by meeting rooms, while the office space and the like are set out at the corners.

This future landmark for the area is designed by the world-renowned architects Foster + Partners, with Jacobs acting as client consultant and engineer on the project.

The master skylight which is a part of tagentreprisen, is an extremely complex 'organically shaped' construction. Precisely this know-how and experience with many other complex constructions is one of the unique capabilities offered by HSHansen.

'We have worked to reach the finish with the contract since February, and we have been in competition with major players from both home and abroad.
