Recently, Asahi Glass Co., Ltd. (AGC), the largest glass maker in the world, announced that the company cooperated with Wuhan Merry Glass Co., Ltd. to promote the Midwest China market.
Since 2007, AGC has introduced energy-saving coated glass, namely Low-E glass in China. Compared with ordinary hollow glass, it can save 30% of energy in summer and 25% in winter. It is evaluated that the glass can save 300 yuan of heating bill per square meter every year.
As buildings consume 27% of energy in Wuhan City and the actual demand for energy-saving glass is nearly 10 million sqm, energy-saving glass undoubtedly is a new promising product for buildings.
