Diamon-Fusion International, Inc. (DFI Nanotechnology), global developer and exclusive licensor of patented hydrophobic nanotechnologies, announced today the execution of an exclusive license agreement with British partner LAKES Ltd., DFI’s Strategic Partner for all UK markets, a highly reputable UK firm based in Tewkesbury, Gloucestershire (England). Under the terms of the new license, Lakes can now actively promote its AllClear® by DFI brand to customers in Ireland in an effort to increase its retail presence in the country. LAKES Ltd. continues its steady growth amidst the economic climate and reported its largest month in sales ever due in part to the added value of DFI’s patented coating system.
DFI’s patented coating system has been nominated, through Lakes’ AllClear® brand in England, by KBB Review for a prestigious “Environmental Innovation Award”, to be awarded in May.
LAKES Ltd., a 23-year British privately-owned company, originally established as a bathroom products manufacturer under the “Provex” brand, has significantly increased its market share and positioning in the UK as an innovator and trend setter by being the very first company in the UK to include a protective surface treatment as a standard feature across its Classic collection product line. LAKES continues to prosper with a solid sales and distribution network throughout the UK (England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland).
"LAKES has recorded its highest sales on record and DFI’s patented coating system has been, unquestionably, the main reason of our recent success”, commented Robin Craddock, LAKES Sales Director. “This is an accomplishment we are not only proud of but thrilled to have achieved, given the current global economy. We are very pleased with our partnership (with DFI) and look forward to continued growth and success with our new strategic expansion into Eire.”
Guillermo Seta, Executive Director of DFI Global Operations, stated: “LAKES has proven to be, in a relatively short period of time, a key partner for us in Europe. The organization shares similar values of innovation and an entrepreneurial spirit that will create mutual growth opportunities industry wide”.
DFI Nanotechnology multi-functional characteristics include: water and oil repellency (hydrophobic and oleophobic,), impact and scratch resistance, protection against graffiti, dirt and stains, finger print protection, UV stability, additional electrical insulation, protection against calcium and sodium deposits and increased brilliance and lubricity. DFI’s nanocoating works at nanoscale levels to change the molecular composition of any silica-based surface. Diamon-Fusion® provides, in chemical terms, a ‘cross-linked’, ‘branched’ and ‘capped’ optically clear nano-film along with a strong and durable covalent bond.
