Angolan company Hel Marc has invested the equivalent of 300,000 euros in the first quarter in building a factory to process panes of glass, which has provisionally been set up in Boavista, in Luanda, the company’s managing director said Thursday in Luanda.
At the end of a visit to the factory, Arlindo Afonso said it was a unit where sanitary ware was manufactured, along with objects for home decoration (picture frames and ashtrays), and office decoration (printed doors and tables), as well as for making fashion accessories (necklaces).
The first stage had so far been concluded, he said, allowing for the “Vitrum” branded products to continue being presented.
In a second stage, the company plans to transfer the factory to the municipality of Catete, in Bengo province, where the bigger facilities will make it possible to boost product to levels that meet demand.
Hel Marc also has a ceramics factory in Catete, in the municipal area of Ocolo and Bengo in Bengo province.
