Vitro America is proud to have participated in the (Building Envelope Conference, BEC) that recently took place in Las Vegas by sponsoring the keynote address “The Seven Common Sense Principles of Leadership” shared by the former Head Coach from the NFL, Dick Vermeil.
“At a time when everyone is exhausted with the negativity surrounding the uncertainty of our global economy, Dick Vermeil, and the motivational talk he shared, was met with great enthusiasm; during his talk, he showed a great ability to radiate and transmit enthusiasm and strength to the audience”, confirms Alice Dickerson, Marketing Director for Vitro America.
Vermeil is well known for the forcefulness in his message, as well as the high dose of motivation that he infuses. He possesses the singular distinction of having been named “Coach of the Year” in four different categories including the NCAA and NFL, the league where he led his team to a 1999 Super Bowl Championship.
In spite of the challenging economic environment, and the fact that the majority of companies are cutting back on travel expenses, the Conference had a very good turnout by surpassing 500 attendees.
“Similar to the “Glass Build America Show” that took place last October, this event reconfirmed the existence of a substantial group of people who are committed to work shoulder to shoulder with the firm objective of facing the current situation our industry is experiencing” confirms Alice Dickerson.
She adds that this group is made up of business leaders who want to stay current with what is happening in the industry, so they can better participate in potential business opportunities, and continue to operate with the highest quality standards.
“Dick is right; in times like these we must focus on our strengths to be able to move forward; in the case of Vitro, to meet and surpass the expectations of our clients, to work as one team with a high dose of business ethics while being effective leaders are all factors that have allowed us to celebrate 100 years and contribute, even in challenging times, to our reaffirming our leadership position in the industry”, she concluded.
