Glass raw materials performance in the first half of 2009

By the rapid infrastructure growth, raw materials industry accelerated the release of industrial production. The added value grew 6.9% 1.8% more than the first quarter, of which 11% growth in June.

Flat glass production declined, while technical glass production has become better. In the first half year, the capacity of flat glass production was 280 million weight boxes, down 0.1%. Tempered glass and laminated glass respectively fell 9.5% and 3.3%. Hollow glass increased 15.5%, better than the first quarter.
