Credit Suisse raises stake in Zhejiang Glass to 6.32%

Aug. 3, 2009 (China Knowledge) - Swiss bank Credit Suisse Group AG on Jul. 27 raised its shareholding in Zhejiang Glass Co Ltd<0739> to 6.32% from the 5.53% it held earlier, according to the bourse operator Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing<0388>.

HKEx said that Credit Suisse bought around 3.05 million shares of Zhejiang Glass for HK$7.42 million. The average share price of the transaction was HK$2.432 apiece.

On Jul. 16, the Swiss bank bought 2.63 million H shares of Jiangxi Copper Co Ltd<600362><0358> for HK$36.14 million or HK$13.76 apiece, raising its stake in the Chinese company to 6.13% from the previous 5.94%, according to an earlier report from China Knowledge.
