A MAJOR glazing company is set to bring 80 jobs to the area, after picking Hellaby for its national headquarters.
Greenberg Glass and Glazing will also run a call centre operation from premises at Kea Park Close on the industrial estate.
The company - whose clients include the British Heart Foundation and GT Retail - will have regional offices in Leeds and Nottingham.
"We realised that we needed a centrally located location for the call centre and head office, primarily servicing South Yorkshire and with excellent connection to the motorway network," said management team leader John Askew.
"The Rotherham area was chosen after considering Leeds, Nottingham, and West Midlands as its central location gives good coverage to the north, south and east of the country."
He added: "Another major consideration is the quality of staff which, from previous experience we knew to be available in this area."
Greenberg plan to employ 30 people to start with, adding another 50 by the end of 2009.
The firm was able to find the ideal location to serve its clients through a project set up by help from RiDO, Creative Sheffield and Yorkshire Forward.
Business development manager Joe Anwyl said: "It's great to welcome a nationally renowned company like Greenberg to our area."
"Their high quality products and service fit well with the other first-class manufacturing companies which we have in the Rotherham area, and with their expansion plans we see a positive future for Greenberg."
"Their decision to locate here is also testament to the excellent skilled workforce that we have in the area."
