Pollution Control Department manager Zhao Hualin said: “although we have made certain achievements in energy-saving emission reduction, the global financial crisis also posed a challenge for energy-saving emission reduction. As a result, Ministry of Environmental Protection adheres to the “three no principles”----unchanged aim, unweakened strengthen, unchanged standard. These principles will be never changed.

Because of the global financial crisis, our country’s job of energy-saving emission reduction faced a stern challenge. In some places, some companies and the local government relaxed in work intensity and work ethic in energy-saving emission reduction. Established pollution abatement facilities didn’t operate well. The phenomenon of redundant construction in a number of high pollution, high energy consumption industries is prominent, especially Iron and steel, cement, plate glass, coal chemical equipment industries.

After three years’effort, although the results were significantly, it was still difficult to realize the aim and this was still an arduous task. So Zhao Hualin refereed to hold on the “three no principles”to successfully complete the task.
