Post Time:Sep 08,2009Classify:Company NewsView:313

Taiwan-based small- to medium-size LCD panel maker Giantplus Technology is expanding capacity at its 3G plant at a slower pace than originally scheduled although production has reached full capacity.

It said it had previously planned to increase monthly capacity to 50,000 glass substrates by the end of 2009, but that will not happen until the first quarter of 2010.

Current monthly capacity is 40,000 glass substrates, the company noted.

Giantplus has posted August consolidated revenues of NT$1.31 billion (US$39.88 million), an increase of 2.02% from NT$1.28 billion for July, but a decrease of 7.08% from NT$1.41 billion for August 2008, according to data from the Taiwan Stock Exchange (TSE).

Total consolidated revenues from January to August were NT$7.89 billion, down 15.77% on year.
