Two Russian companies - Simbirskiye Stroymaterialy and Tashlinsky mining and processing plant (GOK) are to work with Czech company Sklostroj to produce glass bottles and quartz sand, Prime-Tass reports.
Projects worth a total of 3.6 billion rubles have been agreed. Simbirskiye Stroymaterialy is to build four bottle production lines in the Ulyanovsk region's.
The project will cost 2.9 billion rubles and is due to start production in 2011. Meanwhile, Tashlinsky GOK will build the third stage of a quartz sand mining and processing plant, with a 675 million ruble investment.
Sklostroj will provide equipment and consulting services for both projects.
