Pilkington: New Products For 'New Deal'

Post Time:Oct 20,2009Classify:Company NewsView:444

Building Products Japan has launched two new products in response to the Government's School New Deal Policy, which aims to make the nation's school buildings quake-resistant and energy-efficient.
A 1 trillion yen re-equipment and refurbishment programme for 32,000 public elementary and junior high schools will include the installation of double-glazing and solar panels.
BP Japan has developed two new product ranges to meet the programme's requirements - School PAIR™ double-glazing glass, available from October 1, and School LAMIPANE™ laminated glass, available now.
School PAIR Eco units achieve 4 stars - the highest grade - under the Japanese energy efficiency rating scheme. The window is made using CVD Low-E toughened glass and standard toughened glass and offers good light transmission and impact resistance as well as high energy performance.
School LAMIPANE is recommended for use in areas such as a school gymnasium, which may be used as a refuge when an earthquake occurs. As a laminated product, the pane will stay intact even if the glass is broken.
