Beijing (ANTARA News/Asia Pulse) - The climate of China's glass industry is beginning to recover, said a report by Guotai & Junan Securities.
Thanks to the real estate market's revival, demand for glass is recovering, lending strong support to glass prices.
The average price of float glass in October surged 21.6 per cent from the same period last year and 4.5 per cent from September to 77.7 yuan per weight box.
The level is approaching the previous high in September of 2008. The price of flat glass rose 27 per cent year on year and 6.3 per cent month on month to 73.2 yuan per weight box.
From January to October, the average prices of float and flat glass respectively rose 26.3 per cent and 27 per cent from the same period last year.
